The children had lots of fun at Urmston Grammar School this morning. We took part in a rockets workshop where we were able to make and launch our own mini rockets!

Year 5 planned and delivered a super fabulous finish this afternoon. They were able to teach the parents all about the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons. Well done Year 5!

Year 5 have been teaching their parents about how Christmas is celebrated in other counties around the world today. Well done everyone!

As part of Clean Air Month, Year 5 have been completing some fieldwork activities to learn more about how clean the air is around our school.

The children have been busy this week learning all about angles.

What amazing chefs we have in Year 5- well done everyone!

Year 5 have been learning all about South America today and have used their map reading skills to solve a range of challenges- well done team!

Year 5 have been working very hard in their music lessons- well done everybody!

Year 5 have had a wonderful day at Salford Quays completing a range of fieldwork activities in addition to taking photographs inspired by our work on Neil Roland.

UPDATE: Another butterfly emerged this afternoon. Luckily, I was able to catch the moment on camera. Check out the video below...

UPDATE: Two more butterflies emerged this morning! Aren't they beautiful?! I will update the website as more butterflies emerge from their cocoons.  Whilst living in the butterfly house, they have fruit and sugar water to drink. The butterflies can stay inside the butterfly house for 2-5 days and can then be released into the wild. I will upload photographs of them flying away and post them on the website, when it is time for them to be released. 

Butterfly number one has emerged from its cocoon!
