St Mary’s CE Primary School
St Mary’s is a happy, exciting learning community. Everyone who works here, or visits, is made to feel welcome and valued. We are a UNICEF Rights Respecting School, and everything we do is based on our school values 'Faith Family Future - Building a positive future for all as part of God's loving family'.
We are a Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary School enjoying close, positive links with our Church, St Mary the Virgin.
We aim to provide a happy, loving, learning atmosphere, with close liaison between home, school, parish and the wider community. We are very proud at St Mary’s that we really are a ‘school family’.
We work hard to develop our pupils into caring, responsible members of society. We have just achieved the UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools Silver Award and will keep going with this important work until we achieve the Gold Award. We are also proud to have achieved School Games Gold Award for our work in developing physical activity of our pupils. We have also won awards for our work to develop Music through the school and Healthy Active Lifestyles.
Here at St Mary’s we believe that all children are unique and must be celebrated for the special gifts and talents that they possess. Each day we encourage our children to work hard, to have confidence and feel good about themselves. This way they will have the courage to make their unique contribution in the world and achieve personal bests every day. The children in our care are at the heart of everything we do.
If you would like to make an appointment to visit our school, I would be delighted to show you around.
