Autumn 1 - Overview of learning and how you can help at home

This half-term we will be focussing on the basic skills of writing. We will be writing sentences with capital letters, full stops and finger spaces. To start with, we will base our writing around the text of ‘The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr Morris Lessmore’ by William Joyce.

In geography, we will learn about the United Kingdom. We will identify and learn the names of the countries, capital cities and seas surrounding the UK.
Science
In science, we will observe and describe how seeds and bulbs grow into mature plants. We will also learn how plants need water, light and a suitable temperature to grow and stay healthy.
