Summer 2
Welcome back. I hope you have had a wonderful half-term. We are now in the last half-term of Year 3 and what a busy time we have ahead of us. English
We will be continuing with The Secrets of the Sun King this half-term. Once we have completed the story, we will be looking at a range of non-fiction texts related to our class topics.
Maths
In maths lessons, we will be spending time looking at the properties of shapes, turns, angles and lines.
Geography
Geography this half-term will be focused on natural disasters, specifically earthquakes.

Science

Music
The children are really enjoying the ukulele lessons, and they can play lots of tunes already. I hope you can all join us for our concert on Tuesday 22nd July.

English
In English, we will be reading Secrets of a Sun King. This text is all about Ancient Egypt, which is our history focus this term.
Maths
In maths, we will be continuing with our fractions work and then focusing on money, adding and subtracting money, as well as giving change. We will also be telling the time on analogue and digital clocks.

Stone Age Boy
In Year Three, you will begin to write using a pen in all of your workbooks so it is very important that we practise our neat, cursive handwriting everyday in school. Click on the link to remind yourself how to form letters correctly using cursive handwriting. Then you can have a go at home.
