Welcome to Year 1!
The Year 1 teacher is Mr Collingwood and we also have the fantastic Mrs Westlake! We have lots of exciting learning planned for you this year!

Maths
In maths, we will continue to work on place value. Here are some counting games you can play at home.
English
In English, we will start by reading Paddington by Michael Bond. We will continue to focus on using capital letters, finger spaces and full stops. Here is a reading of the story.
Science
In science, we will be learning to name the different parts of the body as well as all about our senses. Click here to learn more.

In history, we will continue to look at changes within living memory, but we will move away from toys and start to look at other aspects of life such as transport and school. Here are some excellent videos to watch on the subject.
RE
In R.E., we will be learing why Christmas matters to Christians.
